Update #1 came out on 1 October 2026. We hold no game data from before it, so we cannot compare the game before and after it. Below is our summary of the developers' notes, then what the current game data shows about manager buying.
What the developers said
From the developers' notes, not checked against game data. The full notes are on Steam: Update #1 announcement.
- Staff take orders more smoothly, and a case where taking an order repeated while ingredients needed restocking is fixed. Not confirmed6,7
- Managers buy ingredients better.
- Business and barter skills level up again.
- The first venue's decorating objective explains more, including which furniture shops sell decorations and plants, and a tutorial objective about filling the venue's inventory no longer confuses players who bought only what the shopping list asked for.
- Fixes to furniture setups, better visibility from the boat's cockpit, and a hint on how to skip travel transitions.
- Settings and fixes: the level of detail slider can no longer go to 0, lower mouse sensitivity is possible, other characters no longer push you into walls, loading saves repeatedly no longer slows the camera down, and a bug with castling in chess while the king is in check is fixed.
What the current game data shows
Checked on build 25738165, the build of Update #3, not on the build of this update.
- A staff member with the Managing task shops during their working hours: each round is a 20 game-minute wait, then one purchase for the dishes running low.1,2,3,5
- A dish counts as running low when the ingredients in storage, plus deliveries on the way, cover fewer than 10 servings of it.4,8
